Flat roof repair in Twickenham
Leaks found and fixed for good, GRP, EPDM rubber and felt, guaranteed in writing.
Flat roofs thatactually stay dry.
If you need flat roof repair in Twickenham, you've probably already tried a patch or two. Here's how we do it differently: we find the real leak, then fix it for good.
Most of the flat roofs we're called to around here tell the same story. A lot of Twickenham's stock has felt roofs on Victorian and Edwardian rear extensions and bay roofs, and after a couple of decades that felt gives up. It blisters, cracks and splits at the seams, water starts to pond where there's no proper fall, and leaks creep in at the parapets and around skylights. Add in the tired garage and outbuilding roofs and you've got the bulk of what we sort out week in, week out.
The honest promise is this: we don't do patch jobs that buy you six months. We find the source of the leak, which is the bit most people get wrong, then we do a permanent fix with the right system for your roof. We've built a reputation for finding leaks other roofers missed, and for telling you straight whether a repair will hold or whether the roof is better re-laid.
- ✓ Strip & inspect the deck We lift the old covering, look at the timber deck underneath and sort any rot or soft boards before a single new layer goes down.
- ✓ GRP fibreglass A hard, seamless finish laid in place. Ideal for balconies and roofs that get walked on, and it looks smart on show.
- ✓ EPDM rubber A single ply rubber sheet, often one piece with no seams to leak. Brilliant for extensions and garages, and it lasts for decades.
- ✓ Torch-on felt The traditional, cost-effective system, laid properly in layers. Still a solid, dependable choice when the budget matters.
- ✓ Upstands, flashing & falls New upstands, lead flashing and trims, plus proper falls built in so water runs off instead of ponding on the roof.
- ✓ Drainage & written guarantee Outlets and gutters cleared so the roof drains, and the whole job backed by a workmanship guarantee in writing.
Simple, no pressure.

What customers say.
“Flat roof on our extension looks fantastic. Professional from the first quote all the way to completion.”
“Spotted a leak we'd chased for years in ten minutes. Sorted same week. Wouldn't use anyone else now.”
Your questions, answered.
It depends on what's actually wrong. A small repair to a split seam or a bit of failed flashing is a modest job, whereas a tired felt roof that's leaking in several places is often better re-laid than patched again and again. We come out, find the real problem, and give you a free written quote for the honest fix, not a cheap patch that fails next winter.
All three are good when they're fitted right, and each suits a different job. GRP fibreglass gives a hard, seamless finish that's great for balconies and areas that get walked on. EPDM rubber is a single sheet with no seams to leak, so it's brilliant for extension and garage roofs and lasts for decades. Torch-on felt is the traditional, cost-effective option and still does a solid job. We'll tell you honestly which one fits your roof and your budget.
A properly laid EPDM rubber roof can last thirty years or more, and good GRP fibreglass is similar. Modern torch-on felt, laid well with the right falls, will typically give you fifteen to twenty years. The big killer is ponding water sitting on a roof with no fall, which is exactly the sort of thing we design out when we re-lay one.
Often we can repair it, and we'll always tell you straight if that's the right call. A localised split, a failed upstand or a bit of perished flashing can usually be fixed. But if the felt has blistered and cracked across the whole roof and it's leaking in several spots, patching it again is throwing good money after bad. We give you the honest answer, not the one that sells the biggest job.
Yes, and this is what we're known for. A flat roof leak often shows up in the ceiling metres away from where the water actually gets in, which is why they get chased for years. We track it back to the real source, whether that's a seam, an upstand, a skylight or a blocked outlet, and fix that, not just the wet patch.
For a flat roof we can usually get out to look within a few days, and we work across Twickenham, St Margarets, Whitton, Teddington, Richmond and the surrounding areas. If water is coming in right now, call us and we'll do our best to get to you sooner.
